What is functional training & functional fitness?
Functional training attempts to adapt or develop exercises which allow individuals to perform the activities of daily life more easily and without injuries.
Is there any age limit for functional training?
No, there isn’t any age limit for functional training. However, the activities/drills for every age-group will differ based on their requirements and medical conditions (if any).
How can Quest help me achieve complete fitness?
Complete fitness comprises of 5 main components – Cardiorespiratory endurance, Muscular strength, Muscular endurance, Body composition & Flexibility. Our drills are divided into 3 parts – Endurance training, Agility training & Strength training that will help you achieve all parameters of fitness.
Can I come for a class any time during the day?
We have 2 batches currently (morning & evening). The details are –
- Tuesday: 7 – 8.15 am & 8.30 – 9.30 pm
- Thursday: 7 – 8.15 am & 8.30 – 9.30 pm
- Sunday: 9 – 10.45 am
If there is no gym style equipment, then what do you use?
Functional training involves equipments & drills that help in achieving complete fitness. Typical equipments used are – Kettlebells, Medicine balls, Sandbags, Swiss balls, Bodyweight training, Resistance tubes, Battle ropes, Tyres, Hammer, Sandbags, TRX, Ladder, Cones, Hurdles etc.
Could I injure myself?
Any sport or fitness routine can cause injury if not done correctly. At Quest Functional Fitness we take utmost care to make a note of every member’s medical background and accordingly devise a fitness plan.
Do I need any previous experience? Is this only for people who already have some basic level of fitness?
No, you do not need any previous experience. As they say, it’s never too early or never too late to start! We understand that every individual is different and the workouts are designed accordingly.
Is there valet parking at the facility?
There isn’t valet parking but there is lot of free parking space available.
What do I need to wear for class?
T-shirt, Shorts/Track pants, Hand towel, Water bottle and preferably a yoga mat.
